English Commissioners Report Regarding Union of England and Scotland, 1717 June 1.

A report by the Commissioners of England regarding an act of Parliament describing the debts due to Scotland as a member of the union of the two nations. The document relates to one phase of the financial agreement and describes how Scotland was to be compensated through a committee selected to determine the "pecuniary equivalent." The committee included the Clerk of Penicuik, Professor David Gregory, and William Paterson, promoter of the Damen scheme and the Bank of England. The manuscript is a certified copy.

Walter Hausdorfer began his library career as a student assistant in the Sullivan Library, Temple Univ. In 1925 he became the Assistant Librarian. After obtaining his library degree at Columbia, Hausdorfer directed the Columbia School of Business Library for 16 years. Between 1946 and 1963 Hausdorfer served as head librarian at Temple Univ.
